The renovation of an old house on the island itself is quite a challenge. Renovating a house in the heart of the town of Korčula presents additional requirements.

We managed to overcome all these challenges by introducing innovative solutions in its renovation. This property, thanks to our redevelopment, can be counted among one of the most enchanting in the historic center of the city of Korčula.

The renovation project of the house was quite extensive and a lot of details had to be modified. The renovation required respect for the legacy of the house, but also innovative solutions in order to maximize the space. One of the tasks during the adaptation was to bring more light into the space. We solved the problem with high ceilings and the innovative solution of leaving a part of the floor in a mesh construction open to the lower floor. Some walls were freed from the plaster to highlight the original stone of the house. The coverings on the ceiling and on the walls are a combination of plaster, wood and stone. The floor is parquet, which gives the building warmth and a touch of traditional architecture. The furniture is adapted to the space to optimize its usage.
